An Evening with Chef Mike Andrzejewski
Thursday, October 9, 2025
A truly special evening at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum celebrating the opening of the internationally important One with Eternity: Yayoi Kusama exhibition. Chaîne members enjoyed exclusive early access to and a guided tour of the exhibit before it opened to the public, followed by an artful and luxurious Japanese-inspired meal in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Town Square.
About the Chefs
Chef Mike Andrzejewski began his restaurant career in the 1970s, bussing tables at Salvatore’s Italian Restaurant, but quickly discovered his real calling was the kitchen. After putting in his time at some of the best kitchens locally including Oliver’s and Rue Franklin, Mike broke out on his own with Tsunami, SeaBar, Cantina Loco, Mike A’s Steakhouse, and Bourbon and Butter at the Lafayette Hotel. He’s a member of the James Beard Foundation and the NY State Restaurant Association. “Mike A” is well-known within the culinary industry in Buffalo, spearheading the Nickel City Chef competition and helping local chefs to connect and support each other. He left WNY for the South where he was chef de cuisine at Fisher’s Upstairs, and then ran the culinary program for Roka Hula/True Grit Hospitality. He also “Beat Bobby Flay!” in front of a national audience.
Chef Jessica Arends joined Mike and the Cornelia team to prepare the evening’s inspired menu.
