Mondiale du Vin: An Evening of Wine & Art

Friday, June 5, 2026

Join the Buffalo Bailliage on Friday, June 5 at 6:00pm at the Burchfield Penney Art Center for a Société Mondiale du Vin evening. The museum will be reserved exclusively for our bailliage for the evening — members and their guests are warmly welcome.

The evening unfolds in two parts. We’ll open with whites and sparkling wines paired with passed hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Luca Sicuso, accompanied by a live string quartet, then move into a guided preview tour of the works going up for auction at the Burchfield Penney’s annual art gala on June 13. The night closes with two reds and the remaining hors d’oeuvres back in the gallery.

About the Venue

The Burchfield Penney Art Center, located on the campus of SUNY Buffalo State, is the only museum dedicated exclusively to the art and artists of Western New York. Named for visionary watercolorist Charles E. Burchfield and longtime patrons Charles Rand Penney and his wife, the museum houses the most comprehensive collection of Burchfield’s work in the world, alongside paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts by hundreds of regional artists past and present.

About the Chef

Chef Luca Sicuso
Chef Luca Sicuso

Chef Luca Sicuso was raised in Brucoli, a small fishing village within the city of Augusta on the eastern coast of Sicily, where the rhythms of his mother’s kitchen shaped a lifelong devotion to authentic Sicilian cooking. A physics teacher by training, Luca cooks with the same precision he brings to the classroom — refining traditional recipes from his homeland and adapting them to what’s in season. After moving to the United States, he cooked at Siena Restaurant in Buffalo before founding MangiaConLuca, a private dining concept that brings Sicilian hospitality directly into guests’ homes.
