Stillwater Farm Dinner with Billy Club

We’ll dine casually “en plein air” on the Braymillers’ 32-acre family farm, seeing firsthand how the meats and poultry we enjoy are lovingly and responsibly raised.

About the Farm

Owned by Jay and Margaret Braymiller, Stillwater Farm is a small, family-run operation on 32 acres in the rolling hills of Boston, New York. They purchased the farm in 1991 and have lived there with their daughters ever since, carefully restoring the 200-year-old farmhouse that came with the property and working diligently to regenerate the long-neglected land. Today they raise sheep and chickens for market while caring for companion animals — horses, donkeys, several sheep who are lifetime residents, and a potbelly pig named Eleanor Pigby. Whether destined for the table or for life as a beloved pet, every animal is treated with care and dignity, ensuring each day on the farm is a happy one.

Jay, an architect by profession, grew up on a dairy farm learning the principles of livestock husbandry. Margaret, who works as an Administrator for the pediatric oncology department at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and is the granddaughter of a butcher, was raised with a deep respect for animals and the nourishment they provide.
