In March, we are heading to a new venue! Orchard Park Country Club will be hosting us for a beautiful Spain-inspired menu, paired with some exciting Spanish and Mediterranean wines.
About the Venue
Orchard Park Country Club has a rich history spanning more than 100 years, the earliest of which occurred before the establishment of Orchard Park Country Club Inc. (in 1946). It is nestled in Orchard Park, with a golf course designed by Walter J. Travis in 1916 when the property and Club were originally operated by The Park Country Club of Buffalo. In 1946, a group of members was able to purchase the Club for $75,000. In 2021, the Club celebrated its 75th anniversary, now a second home to over 500 families. Within the last five years it has undergone a several-million-dollar renovation to its course and clubhouse, revitalizing it for decades to come.
About the Chef
Executive Chef Evan Thur has served as Executive Chef at Orchard Park Country Club for three years. Prior to that, he spent four years as Chef de Cuisine at the Country Club of Buffalo (CCB) and two years at The Grange in East Aurora. He worked as a sous chef at the 2025 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia, and spent a year abroad as a private chef in Germany. His education includes a degree in Culinary Arts from Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, studies at the International University of Applied Sciences in Bonn, Germany, and a bachelor’s degree in Food and Beverage Management and Hospitality from Niagara University.
